Protecting Individual Rights and Freedoms

Supported efforts may ensure: 

• Individuals are protected from undue interventions by the state

• Special interest groups cannot thwart individual interests or subvert the democratic process for their own gains

• The rule of law applies equally to all citizens regardless of wealth or status

• Freedoms of association, religion, speech, and expression are protected

Promoting Markets and Economic Prosperity

Our Donors believe a strong economy has the best chance to move people out of poverty, should operate without excessive government intervention, and allows people the freedom to create wealth and jobs.

Supported efforts encourage:

• Appropriate boundaries of government action

• Limiting unintended consequences of government interference with market signals

• Exploration of market-based, competitive solutions to resolve economic and social issues
