What efforts are supported?
Grants support eligible organizations whose work aligns with our Donors’ priorities, shows potential for impact, and is in our Donors’ primary geographies.
Our Donors’ primary geographies of interest are Alberta, Iowa, and Missouri. Some national efforts and efforts in other provinces or states may be considered (typically by invitation only).

Examples of requests outside of our Donors’ scope include:
Programs related to the fine/performing arts
Direct support of publicly funded systems
Political campaigns or candidates
Projects that exclusively serve religious purposes
Efforts that focus on international issues or plan to use funds outside of North America
In Canada, your organization must:
Be a valid corporate body in good standing with Registered Charity status as defined in Section 248(1) of the Income Tax Act (RSC)
Comply with anti-terrorism legislation in all applicable jurisdictions
In the United States, your organization must:
Be a valid corporate body in good standing and be recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the US Internal Revenue Code
